• Understand different types of sequence and notations for working with sequences and series including nth term, recurrence relations, Sigma notation for sums

• Arithmetic Progressions (There is a common difference between each term)

• Geometric Progressions (There is a common factor between each term)

• Finding the sum of a series

• Finding the sum to infinity for certain series

• Being able to prove the sum formulae

• To be able to recognise and work with convergent, divergent, and periodic sequences

• To apply all of the skills to contextual problems
